Outfit of the Day

How was your weekend? I had a crazy busy weekend but it was so much fun! I went to a wedding on Saturday (my wedding guest outfit will be up tomorrow) and I celebrated my 27th birthday with my twin brother on Sunday. We went to mass, had brunch, spent the afternoon at the lake, and went out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants.

Okay, now that I talked about my weekend, lets talk about the main reason why I’m here, my birthday outfit! I bought my birthday dress in May (remember the little shopping haul post?) and knowing that my birthday was on a Sunday I wanted something that I could dress up, but still be comfortable in on a warm summer day. So I styled this cute floral dress (that has pockets!) with my favorite pink statement necklace and my comfy new Sam Edelman heels. I make the outfit shoot a little more fun I grabbed a few fresh flowers as fun prop. I didn’t actually plan on shooting this look with flowers, but I sort of caught the bouquet at the wedding on Saturday (more on that story in tomorrow’s post) and decided to use some of the flowers.
