Outfit of the Day

I was pretty excited to take these outfit photos because this Valentine’s Day outfit was inspired by the original ad photos for the Free People Trapeze slip, at least I’m pretty sure that’s what they’re from (I could only find one photo from the series). I’ve wanted to copy the outfit ever since I bought the dress, but didn’t have a leather jacket I really liked until the end of this summer. I would have put more thought into the shoot and try to copy some of the poses too, but I had to take three outfit pictures in an hour on Saturday.😅 It was 40 degrees that day and the next three days we had snow and 20 degree temps.

Anyway, I really like this for a Valentine’s Day look because number one I’m wearing a red dress and I’m always that sort of cheesy person who wants to wear red or pink on Valentine’s Day. I also really like the layers going on in the outfit with the socks, scarf, and jacket. Lastly, this outfit is extremely comfortable for a Valentine’s Day outfit, the Free People dress has a loose fit so it would be great to wear for a whole day filled with activities (though you might need to wear a shorter heel).
