Earlier this month I went to a wedding and as soon as I heard it would be in the fall I knew what I wanted to wear. Last fall I saved an outfit on Pinterest of a dark brown satin dress with gold accessories. At the time I didn’t have most of the pieces shown and I didn’t know if I’d have the opportunity to wear this very formal (and in my mind, very fall) outfit. I had heard this wedding would be a fall wedding a few months ago, so I had the time to track down the three key pieces I needed at the end of summer. I ended up finding everything on ThredUp (not sponsored). First, I found a dress in the dark chocolate brown color I was looking for, then a clutch, and lastly shoes that matched the clutch. The last one took a while, and the best option happened to be a pair of used designer heels that I could never afford new. Along with the vintage necklace and watch from my mom, this whole outfit ended up being thrifted/vintage. It’s the first time I can say that and I’m so proud I was able to not contribute to fast fashion for an outfit I’ve been ogling for a year.
