Nails of the Week

For these matte & shinny black & gold nails I first painted my nails black.
Then used my matte top coat.
Once that is completely dry, I used my straight french tip manicure stickers from my Sally Hansen kit to block off the black areas & make stripes for the gold.
Then I took off just the bottom stickers to use shinny top coat for the tips.
For the ring finger I also took off the sticker second from the base to use shinny top coat.
Once the shinny top coat is almost completely dry (if it dries all the way the stickers might get to stiff to pull off) you can pull off all of the stickers.
Outfit of the Day

Wearing my red Free People Trapeze slip with a Forever 21 necklace, Charlotte Russe cardigan & boots.
Outfit of the Day

I’m wearing my leather jacket with a plaid shirt from Wet Seal, my new Mini Bailey Bow Uggs, & a hand-me-down shirt from my sister that I only wanted just so I could wear it with this look.
Outfit of the Day

I am wearing a Forever 21 blouse & necklace I bought a year ago with skinny dress pants from Nordstrom & my favorite loafers from Charlotte Russe.
Nails of the Week

For these fun plaid nails, I first painted all my nails this navy blue. Then, since I didn’t have a thin brush for the navy, I used thin nail tape to block off the navy stripes in the plaid. I probably should have used two pieces side by side since I couldn’t make my other lines as thin with the brush.
Once the nail tape is down, use a bright red to paint over those nails. Mine was dulled down by the navy base coat, so that’s why a bright red might be best.
After the red is dry, very carefully paint on white stripes & then black.
Once the black & white are relatively dry, take off the nail tape slowly.
Lastly, use top coat (or nail glue if you prefer) to apply oval studs.
Outfit of the Day

Wearing a Francesca’s blouse with a tank I bought at a local boutique on Black Friday, boots from the same boutique, & some old Banana Republic over-the-knee socks rolled down a few times.
Valentine’s Day Outfit

For Valentine’s Day I wore my new necklace & earrings from Forever 21 with my printed Free People Trapeze Slip, a cropped sweater, & my favorite brown boots from AE.
Nails of the Week

As promised, here are my nails I painted on Valentine’s Day. I used a cute baby pink as my base. Mine is pretty sheer, so it took four coats to get an opaque pink. Then I used my Butter London gold glitter polish Stratford Honey at the ends of my pinky & pointer fingers, working my way up a little with the next two coats to create a gradient. Lastly, I used top coat to attach two caviar beads at the base of my middle two fingers & thumb.
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I’m starting to feel a little better today so I’m finally painting my nails for Valentine’s Day. Like my past few Valentine’s Day’s I plan to have a little spa day. Just stay inside where it’s warm, do a facial, paint my nails, & treat myself to a cute little bottle of pink moscato (& dark chocolate of course).
Forever 21 Accessory Haul

Forever 21 had a Valentine’s day sale where you could by $21 of their select Valentine’s day items & get free shipping, a sale I just couldn’t pass up! The filigree necklace & the drop earrings are sold out, but the ear jacket earrings can be found here, & the two note cards can be found here & here. The note cards are blank & there’s five of each (& they’re even cuter in person). I think these cards will be great to use for thank yous after I throw my college graduation party in May. I would just need a “Thank you” stamp for the front!
