Christmas Eve

Marry Christmas everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday with family & friends.

I made a Mint Chocolate Trifle with my mom to bring to our family get together. You can find the recipe [HERE] but I’ll worn you, it took the two of us two hours Christmas Eve Eve to make & another hour Christmas Eve to assemble (also, we couldn’t find mint leaves this time of year).
Another super cute dessert there was some chocolate ornaments one of my aunt’s got at a grocery store (how cute right!).

I also opened up my Grandma gift last night, an Instax Mini 8!! Though, if you follow my Insta you probably saw that I tested it out a couple nights ago (my mom insisted so I’d know how to use it Christmas Eve). It was pretty fun using that last night.

Now that I’m about 80% done with finals it’s really starting to feel like Christmas, so I decide to have this outfit picture taken by some of our cute outdoor decorations (might have to do this again). Anyway, I’m wearing a new Forever 21 grey shirt & scarf with an old black skort from AE & Payless boots I haven’t worn in two years. I kind of forgot about these boots but love how they look with this outfit! Maybe I’ll stop wearing my black ankle boots with every single outfit & start to wear these more.

I’ve been turning in some final projects this week & dressing up these slim pajama pants worked perfectly for a hectic day running on little sleep. It was so nice to wake up knowing I just had to throw on these comfy guys & my favorite Francesca’s sweater (& do my hair of course). Also, this look was inspired by @mystylediaries instagram post. Totally like twins, right? 😉

Nails of the Week

To do these plaid nails, I first painted my thumbs & middle fingers dark grey. Then painted my pointer & pinky fingers light grey. Then painted my ring fingers black. Next, I used Kiss Nail Art Paint (they have thin brushes) to do a plaid design on my pointer & pinky. You can use these in any order you like but I used black, then white, then silver. Lastly, I used top coat to apply diamond shaped nail decals to the rest of my nails.

I decided to go for a classy but fun look for the week of Thanksgiving. For these pretty gold & nude nails, I painted my ring finger a nude color (mine was from a french tip kit) & the rest in this glittery gold. Side note, if any of you know what the name of this OPI polish is, could you let me know. There aren’t any polish names on my tiny bottles & I think I’d like to buy a regular sized bottle when this runs out.

To finish the ring finger, I used straight french tip stickers to make my glittery gold stripe & used top coat to adhere my Chanel logo decal. I got these from Shopmissa found [HERE]. If you do only use top coat like I do, I would recommend taking them off every night & before washing your hair so you don’t loose them.

To finish the rest of the nails, simply use the typical curved french tip stickers to make reversed french tips using more nude polish. Also, if you end up with edges from the manicure stickers just dip a Q-tip in nail polish remover – let it dry for just a second or two so it’s not too wet – then very gently go over the edge to soften it.

Wearing a Francesca’s tank with my favorite leggings, an old sweater, & my favorite Charlotte Russe booties. Love that this look makes my legs look super long!
