Like I said in my last nail post, I’ve been obsessed with tweed lately, so… I bought my first genuine tweed clothing item! I’ve been shopping around online for the past few months looking at jackets, shorts, and dresses without feeling too strongly about the style or color of item I wanted for sure. As much as I like the look of a tweed jacket, I wasn’t sure how much use I would get out of one, especially since I just bought a black blazer. I love having dressy shorts because they work great in the summer as is, or in the winter with tights, but finding just the right tweed version was proving to be elusive. When I was first looking at tweed dresses, I was mostly looking at women’s dresses, and found that the silhouettes where a little too form fitting for my taste. After a while of shopping around, I started to look more at girl’s clothing and after a short while, I found this girl’s tweed dress on sale for 60% off at Nordstrom Rack! Jackpot. It’s a fit & flare dress with faux leather trim and it’s fully lined, so it’s exactly my kind of silhouette, it looks dressy, and it’s really nice quality, for $25! Plus, because it’s a girls dress the waistline is placed at mid-ribcage instead of the waist, so it works great for my super short torso.
I styled it with my new cozy cardigan I bought at the Mall of America, a vintage necklace, favorite handbag, and grey ankle boots to wear to Sunday morning mass.
