Nails of the Week

Last Saturday was homecoming for my college, which is in my home town so it has always been a big day for my family. To show my team spirt I painted my nails in the team colors well, nearly the team colors. Technically the colors are blue & yellow, not blue & gold; but the only yellow I have is a pale buttery yellow I got in a monthly nail polish box. I decided to use gold because well, it’s my favorite nail polish color, & I hate yellow & will not buy it for just one day a year.

To get these nails, I first painted my nails blue. Then used thin nail tape to create the triangle shapes for the gold. Lastly, I carefully painted on one coat of gold, & once it was dry I used a cotton swab to clean up around the base of the nails.
