I came up with this design a few of months ago after being inspired by a couple of pins on Pinterest, and thought it would make for a great spring manicure. Originally, I had the beige and white colors flipped around, but decided to change it at the last minute to match my outfits better. I still like the idea of my nails being mostly beige with white sort of art deco french tips, so I might repeat this manicure in the fall and do that. I also want to do a whole manicure with this art deco french tip design (without the gold design), so I hope you don’t get too sick of this look.
To paint these nails, I first painted a base of white on my ring fingers, then used a dark beige on the rest. To create the white and beige nails I used four pieces of nail tape on each nail to block off my design. Then I painted over the tape with white polish. Similarly, I used 16 pieces of nail tape on each ring finger to create the 8 corners on my nails. Then I painted over the tape with gold polish. Once the polish was totally dry I pulled off all the nail tape to reveal my design.
