For my first outfit in this series where my sister styles me for a week, my sister chose to put me in my lace tunic dress. It’s one of her favorites and one of mine too. It took her some time to figure out all of the details to make it work for fall, but I really like her end result. (Note: the Starbucks was my idea and not a prop she requested)
Before shooting this outfit I started thinking about where I wanted to go, and came up with a clear vision of where I wanted to shoot. Unfortunately, the large community garden where I wanted to shoot was closed. So I had to use the prairie grass in the parking lot as my backdrop. That was probably for the best anyway, because there are some small changes I personally would have made to the outfit. I definitely would have liked to have worn my grey beret with this look, and even tried convincing my sister to use it, but she said it was too costume-y. I would have also changed my cardigan to a chunky grey knit one, however, I haven’t been able to find one I like yet so this was really the only choice. Now I can just restyle this outfit for fall again when I do find a new cardigan, I’ll just need to do some better planning when it comes to the shoot.
