I went to a cousin’s wedding on Saturday and wore one of my all time favorite pieces, this beautiful floral maxi romper! I have a large family (52 cousins total!), and have always loved dressing up and going to weddings, and this one was no exception. It was a nice summer day, the food was delicious, and it was great seeing so much of my family.
After dinner and before the bouquet toss, I was able to sneak outside and take a few outfit pictures with the help of my sister. I don’t get to see her that often since she lives a ways away, but I love that she makes the time to help me with outfit pictures. She definitely has a creative eye and has fun with it. The wind was kind of crazy while we were shooting, so it was tuff to get a shot where my hair looked okay, but wow did that wind show off my skirt!
After taking some pictures, we made it back inside just in time for the bouquet toss. I stood in the back of the pack of girls on the left, and was not really sure how much I wanted to commit trying to catch it, so I took a few extra steps back. I’m only 4’9″ and did not want to get trampled or rip my skirt, I already stepped on it more then once that night. When the bride tossed the bouquet it went way to the left and landed on the floor. I was standing the closest to it, so one of the bridesmaids decided I should have it. It was fun for a second, but then the DJ briefly interviewed me and I got super embarrassed and shy. I swear I don’t remember DJs doing this at all the previous weddings I’ve been to, but either way I think I’ll let someone else do the bouquet catching from now on.
