Outfit of the Day

On Sunday I wanted to wear something comfortable enough to wear all day while visiting with family, but also dressy enough to wear to morning mass. I like having a weekly excuse to dress up, so I opted for dressy pieces that have what are typically casual silhouettes, like this short sleeved cropped blouse and dress shorts.

I bought the cropped blouse from Forever 21 earlier this season while on sale and I’m so happy with the fit and feel of the fabric. It’s surprisingly well made for something that was less than $15. It’s sold out now, but I did find an extremely similar blouse in navy linked below along with some black tops that are somewhat similar. I’ve had the dress shorts since high school (they were actually the first thing I bought from Francesca’s), and have loved how well they’ve held up through the years. They are also well made and are fully lined and have pockets. They are of course sold out too, but I found a few similar options that I linked below.
