Starting now throughout the month of October, I’ll be dressing up as characters from some of my favorite shows and movies from my teens. I couldn’t settle on one Halloween costume this year, and maybe that’s for the best – I don’t want to encourage dressing up in a costume and going out this year – so I decided to come up with ready-to-wear “costumes” and shoot them in and around my house. Some might be more ready-to-wear looks than others, but I guess you’ll see what I mean in the coming weeks.
Today’s look is more loosely inspired by the outfits in Mean Girls and is not meant to be a copy of Cady’s look. This outfit, along with a general suggestion from my sister to dress up in Mean Girls inspired outfits, inspired all of the content for the next four and a half weeks. So, even though this is the only outfit that doesn’t copy a characters look, I had to include it anyway.
