Outfit of the Day

I wore a version of this outfit on Saturday when we were celebrating my sisters birthday. I say that because I didn’t have this outfit idea fully formed in my head on Saturday morning when I was scrambling to get ready and join the rest of my family that came down to celebrate.

I started off knowing I wanted to wear this comfy knit dress while hanging out at home with everyone. I didn’t want to dress it up too much right away, because wearing it on its own I was already a bit more dressed up than everyone else. I ended up needing to run an errand in the afternoon, so that gave me the opportunity to get closer to my final look by putting on my leggings, vest, and boots. I wanted to put the necklace on right away, but needed a necklace extender for it to fit around my collar, and couldn’t find one (I ended up using a bracelet when getting ready for the shoot). I’ve been wanting to wear my new beret with an outfit, but for some reason it didn’t occur to me to wear it with this outfit until I was getting ready for the shoot. I’m glad I eventually thought of it because I really love the final result of this look!

Just so you are all aware, I kind of made a bit of a fashion blunder and accidentally bought a real fur vest. Before you start to think I’m a horrible person please read my first outfit post with this vest, I made a mistake and I learned a few lessons. I also provided a link to the same vest on Poshmark because I feel like I definitely can’t judge a person for wanting to buy real fur now, plus as a blogger, I try my best to provide links to the actual clothes I wear when they are available.

Forever 21 beret, similar ASOS wool beret/Vintage necklace/Metric Knits fur vest, same fur vest on Poshmark, similar Tobi faux fur ombre vest on Poshmark, & ARYN K faux fur vest on Poshmark/Contrast collar knit dress from a boutique, similar Modcloth collared sweater dress/BCBGeneration Devvin Ankle Boot, similar Lulu’s black suede high heel boots
